UK Doodle Tour 2013 #1

Orkney Island, Scotland

**EDIT***
This photo was taken from street view. I intended to do a tour of England using this method of getting photos, including user submitted photos also along the way when possible. This project was side-tracked for new ventures and I've not kept the blog up-to-date. I do occasionally post on the facebook page though. I'm very busy with paid illustration work and also running my new merchandise company.

I had a lot of fun doing this project when there was a lot of interest and photos were coming though on a daily basis. Thanks to everyone who sent in their images, for the moment in time this project is on hiatus.

Doodle Street View

For something a little different I edited photos of streets using images from around the world taken from 'Google Street View'.Then as always I doodled over the top. This image includes; Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), Seoul (South Korea), Olso (Norway), Banff (Canada), Rome (Italy), Paris (France), Moscow (Russia) and Blackpool (England).

HEY GUYS I WANNA PLAY TOO! (Flashmob Sneaky Peeky #3)

More doodling on the flashmob photos. A few people have said they miss the colourful and cute doodles, so here's a more old skool Photo Doodle. Thanks to the amazing photographing genius that is Rick Harrison for the photo...

I'm thinking this would make for an awesome new banner for the website :D

ARRRRRGH!! (Monster Flashmob Leeds Sneaky Peeky #2)

I will be exhibiting doodled on photos from the flashmob at the Harvey Nichols bar & cafe all through October in assosiation with Arts And Minds Leeds and as part of the Love Arts Leeds Festival. And even more will be shown at Cafe 164 in Leeds next January/February. Cheers!

Doodle Square

Times Square, New York, USA. Photo sent by Cheryl Bates (pictured)

This is a bit different to my usual 'photo-doodles' as they were all pre-made doodles that I placed and I normally draw straight over the photos. It's more like Project Photo Stickers...I used some of my favourite doodle creations to populate Times Square. This is probably my fave so far.

GET TO THE CHOPPAAAA!

Thanks to Kurkin for the great shot!

Ludo Sad...

Huddersfield, England. Photo taken by Benn Kafanke

I'm a massive fan of 80's movie 'Labyrinth', and when I saw this photo it reminded me of that world. So, I figured why not doodle Ludo on there! Thanks to Benn for the awesome photo and a little slice of nostalgia
